Our PlasticBusters team joined forces last weekend with the Douglas Fire Station to clean up a very large green area located along Peel Road, right in front of their facilities. Despite being already in December, we enjoyed a beautiful sunny and dry morning!

In just a bit over an hour, a group of 16 volunteers managed to collect 16 full bags of plastic, cans, glass, and other non-recyclable waste weighting in total circa 125 pounds!.

With this we have now carried out 21 group clean-up activities in the Isle of Man to preserve the ecosystems of this unique UNESCO Biosphere nation, where we have so far collected over 2,825 pounds of litter. And this is only counting our organised group activities, as many of our PlasticBusters continue working hard on their own!

Thanks so much to all volunteers! We can’t wait for our next activity…

Note: All materials collected in our activities are properly separated, logged, and taken to the nearby amenity site for disposal/recycling.
