Legal Framework

Contact Forms and Mailing List
When a User completes a contact form or signs up to the PlasticBusters mailing list, PlasticBusters collects the information submitted to respond to enquiries, process registrations or send relevant communications. Personal data collected: first name, last name, email address and any other information provided in the form.
AdoptTheWorld Programme
When a User registers for the AdoptTheWorld programme at plasticbusters.org/adopttheworld, PlasticBusters collects their name and the geographic area they have chosen to adopt. This information is used to issue a personalised e-certificate and to add a pin to the public world map on the PlasticBusters website. Users should be aware that their name and adopted area will be displayed publicly on that map. Personal data collected: first name, last name, location data.
Zero Waste Pledge
When a User or organisation signs up to the PlasticBusters Zero Waste Pledge, PlasticBusters collects the name, email address, location and, where provided, the logo of the pledging individual or organisation. This information may be displayed publicly on the PlasticBusters website and across other PlasticBusters communication channels to recognise participation in the Pledge. Users and organisations should be aware that by signing up they consent to this public recognition. Social Media Platforms
PlasticBusters maintains a presence on external social media platforms. Any data collected when Users interact with PlasticBusters through those platforms is governed by the privacy policies of the respective platforms, not by this policy.
Mode and Place of Processing
PlasticBusters takes appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, modification or destruction of personal data. Processing is carried out using computers and IT-enabled tools, following organisational procedures strictly related to the purposes described in this policy.
Data is processed at the Owner's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in processing are located. Where transfers outside the Isle of Man or the UK take place, they are made only where an adequacy decision exists or appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) are in place.

PlasticBusters uses cookies set by Squarespace as part of the hosting platform and by Google Analytics to understand website usage. Do Not Track
PlasticBusters does not support Do Not Track requests. To determine whether any third-party services used by PlasticBusters honour Do Not Track requests, please refer to their respective privacy policies.

PlasticBusters reserves the right to amend this policy at any time by publishing the updated version on this page. Users are encouraged to review this page periodically. Where changes affect processing based on consent, PlasticBusters will collect fresh consent from affected Users where required.
Legal Action
