PlasticBusters participates at the Manx Wildlife Week

On the occasion of the Manx Wildlife Week, which took place at venues across the Isle of Man from 3rd to 11th July 2021, the PlasticBusters Isle of Man team organised, in collaboration with Mann Waste Recycling Ltd and the Western Civic Amenity Site an activity on "Litter and its impact on our biosphere. What can we do about it?".

The two hour long activity consisted on carrying out a litter picking activity around the Mann Waste Recycling plant in Balthane Industrial Estate, followed by an analysis of the litter collected and a fantastic presentation on the impact of litter on our biosphere and how it can be properly managed. The presentations were done by Jay Reid, Founder and Director of Mann Waste Recycling and Mike Rose, Manager of the Western Civic Amenity Site.

All litter picking materials (litter pickers, bags, buckets, high visibility vests, etc. where provided by PlasticBusters).
